Initial Formation
Aspirancy: Stage of Reception.
The aspirancy is a time meant for the accompaniment of the young candidates in their vocational discernment, enabling them an experience of living in a group.
Postulancy: Stage of Preparation.
The postulancy is a stage of formation in which aspirants continue the vocational discernment, makes a progressive insertion in the consecrated life, deepens her human and Christian formation and tests her aptitude for the Franciscan Hospitaller life.
Novitiate: Stage of Initiation.
The novitiate is a time when the Franciscan Hospitaller consecrated life begins. This period permits the novice to discern her vocation more profoundly to know the congregational charism better, to integrate herself in the fraternal life in the community and to undertake formative apostolic experiences.
In this school of deepening of faith and prayer, the novice grows and opens herself to intimacy with the Lord and to the will of God, in docility to the Spirit. What matters is that the following of Jesus Christ poor, chaste and obedient becomes for her a real option of life and a constant reference in her day today options and Mary the Mother of Jesus her model and inspiration.
Juniorate: Stage of growth and consolidation.
The stage between the first profession and the perpetual profession has its objective the deepening of formation, in order to consolidate her own identity as a Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters of the Immaculate Conception and to strengthen affective and effective sense of belonging to the Congregation. The Junior Sisters are provided with necessary conditions so that the work, the study and apostolic activities are not prejudicial to intimacy with God and to fraternal life in community.
Ongoing Formation
The process of Formation lasts a lifetime and involves the whole person, right from the depths of her motivations, sentiments and attitudes to her relationship with God.
